About me
Hoseok is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Interdisciplinary Program in Urban Design and Planning at the University of Washington. Hoseok’s research interests lie in 1) Travel Behavior and Mobility, 2) Regional Economic Development, and 3) the Intersection between Built Environments (Transportation, Land Use, and Land Cover), Public Health, and Climate Change. He pursues interdisciplinary research and various analytical methodologies from economics, geography, statistics, and computer science.
Before coming to Seattle, he worked as a senior researcher for the Industrial Location Research Institute at Korea Industrial Complex Corporation. He conducted several research projects regarding new industries, the youth, and digital technologies from the perspectives of regional economic development and economic geography. He holds a Master’s degree in urban planning from Seoul National University and a Bachelor’s degree in urban administration from the University of Seoul.
