About me

Hoseok is a Ph.D. student of Interdisciplinary Program in Urban Design and Planning at the University of Washington. Hoseok’s research interests lie in the Intersection between Transportation, Public Health, and Climate Change, Urban Mobility and Travel Behavior, Regional Economic Development, and Urban Form. He pursues the interdisciplinary research and various analytical methodologies from economics, geography, statistics, sociology and computer science.

Before Coming to Seattle, he worked as a senior researcher for Industrial Location Research Institute at Korea Industrial Complex Corporation. He conducted several research projects regarding new industries, the youth, digital technologies in the perspective of regional economic development and economic geography. He holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Seoul National University. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Administration from University of Seoul.
